Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PIN? – Personal Identification Number. Some networks handset come configured with a PIN from the point of activation, whilst others are activated by the individual user.

What is a PUK number? - Personal Unblocking Key; if you enter you PIN incorrectly three times you will be asked for a PUK. This is used to reactivate the SIM card that has been blocked and to define a new PIN. To obtain your PUK please contact Zero 7 Customer Services.

How do I unlock my handset? – Some equipment supplied will be “locked” to the providing network. All the networks have some generic kit which will be locked e.g. Vodafone Live, 02 XDA etc. It does apply predominantly to all Orange, T-Mobile and 3 handsets. It is possible to unlock nearly all equipment however there may be charges levied for this privilege. Please contact customerservice@zero7corporate.com and enquire about your device.

Can I keep my Mobile Number? – Yes, is the simplest answer. At any point during your contract period you have the right to move your number from your current provider to another. You will need to request a PAC number. Depending on your contractual obligations there maybe charges imposed for this.

What is a PAC? – A Port Authorisation Code. This is mandatory to transfer from your current to a new network. It is given by your existing billing provider and may need to be requested in writing. Once provided it is normally valid for 30 days.

Why is there a charge for my PAC? – Under the number porting regulations for networks / virtual networks / service providers there is a provision to impose an administrative charge for generating the PAC. It could be that the contract had not been fulfilled to its full commitment and therefore attracted “early termination fees”.

How do I know if my phone is out of commitment? – The best way would be to refer back to original paperwork signed when taking out the contract. The majority of contracts are for 12 months so if in excess of this period, odds are you are out of commitment. Please contact info@zero7corporate.com for any assistance you required.

Who has the best coverage? – This is totally subjective as to your requirements and you would be best directed to our Mobile Voice section under Network Coverage.
